Modular Slip Rings

The standard program ES/GS enables the combination of slip ring assemblies for energy and data/signal currents with any number of poles. Combinations with additional rotary transmitters for liquid media (water, hydraulic oil, oil, etc.) and gases (compressed air, argon, etc.) are possible. Slip ring assemblies can be supplied both as open built-in slip ring assemblies for customer integration (ES), as well as with housings made of impact-resistant plastic or steel (GS).

Can power, signals and data be mixed on ES/GS slip rings?

Yes, like most of Conductix-Wampfler series, you can compose the slip ring based on your needs, mixing any kind of power, signal and data up to 12 Mbps. Even Fluidic Rotary Joints and Fiber Optic Rotary Joints are available as accessories. The different models of ES/GS can be combined to fully satisfy the needs of customers in a single slip ring.

Are ES/GS slip rings pre-wired or can I put in my own cables?

To provide high flexibility and a high level of standardization, and keeping delivery times short, every ES/GS is provided with a terminal board on rings and with the possibility to install the cables directly on brush holders for the brushes' side. This also brings the benefit to have a fast cable changing in case of external damage during the installation or during the working life of your machine. In any case, on request, Conductix-Wampler can provide an additional service, suppling the cables that you require and at the desired length, already wired on the rings' terminal board and brush holders.
